The Many Faces of MAC's Haute & Naughty

First

Second

Third

Fourth!

This is my FAVORITE new mascara. How cool is it?!? As you can see, it has ONE brush, but can be used in two different ways.

If you are going for a more natural lash look, use the brush as shown in the second photo. The tube squeezes off the excess product, leaving you with a cleaner wand to work with. You could also use this way for the inner corners of the eye, or your bottom lashes.

If you're going for a more dramatic & thicker look, use the brush as shown in the third photo. This way does NOT squeeze the excess product off the brush, therefore giving you the ability to layer on more mascara.

I have been using this mascara non-stop since I got it! I used to be a huge Diorshow fan, but I can't get enough of this new MAC mascara. I own a few mascaras from MAC - Plushlash, Pro Longwear, Opulash, etc. This one blows them all out of the water! Definitely worth a try.

Has anyone else tried it? =)

MAC's Venomous Villains

From Left: Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Evil Queen, Dr. Facilier

Dark and Moody

Red Lipped Bitches

One of the Guys

Me - Channeling my Inner Cruella, of Course =)

I love this launch! Like many, i'm a Disney FREAK. My parents took my brother and I almost every August to Disney World, where we would have "breakfast with the characters," visit Magic Kingdom, lounge by the pool and buy LOTS of souvenirs!

So I purchased the Evil Queen - Strange Potion Lipglass:

A nice beigey-pink, so pretty! Nice and fresh for the fall, but still warm and flattering.

I think MAC did an awesome job with taking the evil characters and translating them into color stories. I love the red lips they gave Cruella and the Evil Queen. I also love how they added Dr. Facilier into the mix. Being as - #1 he's a guy and #2 he's a newer Disney character. Being as these items are VERY limited and certain items are already sold out, get them while you can!

What is YOUR favorite evil creature? Share! xo

Fabulous Felines

LOVING the visual & concept for this launch. What do you dolls think?

I know it's not a very original concept, but it seems to be an emerging trend this fall (Allure did an interesting runway piece on designers that used this look in their shows).

Like? =)

MAC - In The Groove

Bloomingdale's 59th & Lexington

Colour

Face

So, it's finally here! The much anticipated In The Groove launch has finally hit counters. Being an avid reader of makeup news and blogs, many makeup lovers have been very excited to get their hot little hands on some of these pieces!

I didn't purchase anything (yet) because I wanted to get some feedback. Did anyone get anything? Love it/hate it?

I'm not in love with the visual, but I do like the look of the collection. I think there is a lot of opportunity for creativity with all of the colour options. I also really like how they paired each lipstick with a pretty gloss.

I did ask for the ever-so-popular Stereo Rose that i've heard so much about, but Bloomie's was already sold out. Did anyone else pick one up? Share with us! xoxo

EOTD + Sephora Palette

Hi dolls! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I decided to play around with my Sephora palette a bit, and do an Eye of the Day =) I tried my best with the photos, but unfortunately the colors didn't come out as they really look. Check it out, and what I used to create the look! xoxo

MAC to the Beach Eye Liner in Float On By

OK so, I wanted to do a look with the turquoises & greens in the Sephora palette and do a bright and fun summer look. I also used the eye liner from the MAC to the Beach launch to line the top and bottom lids. I topped everything off with MAC Opulash on my top lashes.

I tried going with a yellow & turquoise look at first and really liked it, but it wasn't showing up in the photos at all, so I decided to go with darker shades that showed up more (I used 4 shades in the green family).

I primed my lids with the NARS eye primer (got as a sample from my Sephora beauty points), but i'm not so sure that I like it. It seemed very watery and wet-feeling, so I don't think it made the shadow adhere all too well. I like primers to be on the thicker, creamier side.

I've been trying to think of other unique color combinations to play with, any suggestions?

FOTD / Shameless Vogueing

OK, so all my fabulous followers inspired me to do a FOTD (that's "Face of the Day," for those who are scratching their head).

I usually do product reviews & news, but I figured - what the hell! Who doesn't love some shameless Vogueing, beautifully warm weather, and playing with some new makeup?! Enjoy!

Prime Me Pretty

My two newest purchases: MAC Fix + and Benefit "Dr. Feelgood" Balm

MAC Fix +

I can't believe it's taken me this long to purchase Fix +! I'll be perfectly honest - I had no idea what the hell Fix + was. Being an avid MAC customer, I always saw it in the store but passed it on by. After reading an excellent review on one of the many beauty blogs I read, I had to try it out for myself. Turns out, it's an amazing product!

I've used it a couple different ways to experiment so far. I've used it to set my makeup - after I apply my base & blush, I spray Fix + on my face (two pumps is enough) and my makeup seems to stay in place longer. I also love using it after I take my makeup off at night and wash my face. I'll spray it on and it just feels so refreshing and clean. I've heard people using it as a primer before applying base, but I usually don't use a liquid primer. All in all, this is definitely going to be packed in my beach bag for the summer.

Benefit Dr. Feelgood Balm

Hmmm OK soooooo..................yeah. When I purchased this, I was under the impression that it was a LIP balm. I saw the large tin and thought, "Hey, I could use a nice, big container of lip balm." Uhh yeah, definitely NOT lip balm.

When I read the back of the tin, it explains that this product is used for "smoothing away fine lines" and has a mattefying effect. Totally not my thing! I tried using it on my lips anyway, and it didn't work out too well - it drys to a powdery finish - yuck! I'm not big into powders in general - I think it dulls your complexion and makes you look older. I'm more in favor of a dewy, glowing look (with lots of illuminators and bronzers!) I'm in my 20's, so I don't really have a use for a "fine line" correcter. Guess I should have read into it more.

Does anyone have any good uses for either of these products? I love hearing your suggestions!

Summer Sexy - MAC To The Beach

I'm in love with summer makeup. The colors, textures, that sexy bronzing look - I love it all! I also like the fact that "less is more" in the summertime - I completely ditch my foundation and opt for a tinted moisturizer instead. MAC's new collection "To The Beach" hits summer sexy right on the head. I purchased 3 items from this launch - Lipglass in Easy Lounger, Small Eye Shadow in Sweet & Punchy and Eye Liner in Float on By.

Lipglass in Easy Lounger

I'm usually not a huge fan of Lipglass (I know, GASP, right?) The texture is a little too tacky & sticky for me. However, I couldn't resist this gorgeous pink-brown shade. And, as shown in the first photo, it has special sea-horse deco packaging (I have a weird obsession with sea-horses, not really sure why). Therefore, I had to get it! And i'm glad I did. I actually did go "to the beach" today and tested out all my new makeup. This shade looks really beautiful with a tan, and has just the right amount of sparkle and glitter. The sun catches it and it looks really youthful and pretty. Although, I do hate when my hair gets stuck to the lipglass, it's the worst! But I guess that's the price you have to pay for looking your best on the beach =)

Small Eye Shadow in Sweet & Punchy

I love green shadows. I have hazel eyes, so green shadows really bring out the green flecks in my eyes. Sweet & Punchy is a yellowy-green with veluxe pearl. Therefore, it seriously reflecks light and shimmer off your eyes and gives you that hologram-type effect. I love this shade worn by itself with a little mascara (it brightens up the face) or with the Float on By eye liner below. The contrast of the yellow-green and the teal-blue is really funky and fun for summer!

Eye Liner in Float on By

This eye liner is a teal-blue shade. I usually opt for a colored shadow and black liner, but how boringggg can that get? So, I decided to be adventurous and go out of my comfort zone with this liner. And I have to say, it's very cool! I don't think i'll be wearing it every single day, but it's fun to wear once in a while when you want to get creative with your eyes. The pencil itself is soft in texture and really glides well along the top of your lid. The MAC artist in the store told me it lasts a really long time - i've only been wearing it for a few hours so we will see how it wears throughout the day. The packaging is cute too with the coral deco!
